Things to do

Public footpaths and cycle trails go to the nearby towns of Cawston and the market town of Aylsham, less than 2 miles, with shops, pubs and restaurants. Catch the Bure Valley Steam train to Wroxham and hire a boat to navigate the Broads, a haven for wildlife or simply relax and unwind in stunning surroundings. The pretty town of Holt with traditional shops, is a 20 minute drive.  Within easy reach is the city of Norwich with restaurants, bars, a Norman castle, market and 2 cathedrals. The North Norfolk coast can be reached within half an hour with wide sandy beaches, cliff-top walks and famous for its fresh caught seafood.

Fishing

North Norfolk is a popular area for fishing.  We have listed a few choice locations below;

Fresh Water Fishing – Blickling Lake, Cobbleacre lakes, Hevingham lakes.

Sea Fishing – Cley, Salthouse, Weybourne – these locations are deeper water on shingle or Overstrand, Trimmingham or Mundesley which are shallower and fishing on sand.

Cromer Pier – popular for not only for it’s crabbing but a great spot for fishing too.

Here is a selection of our local sights, please feel free to send photos of things you spot and we can add them here.
